Moments make the NBA All Star Weekend and the 2019 edition was no exception with Kevin Durant leading Team Lebron to erase a double-digit deficit to beat Team Giannis 178-164 with Durant going home with the MVP award for the second time in his career.
This year’s All Star Weekend was a special one for fans in North Carolina as this was the second time that Charlotte hosted the All-Star Game since 1991 and rapper J Cole made it more special for fans with a special performance and partook in the dunk contest by attempting a dunk and assisting Dennis Smith Jr in the dunk contest.
Below are my top five moments from all the activities that took place during the All Star Weekend.
#5 – Dirk and D-Wade’s last All-Star Appearance
One of the best moments at this year’s All Star was Dwayne Wade and Dirk Nowitzki thanking everyone for the opportunity to play in 2019 All Star game which will be the last for both players who are set to retire at the end of the season

#3 – Hamidou Diallo’s dunk over Shaquille O’Neal
Ever since Zach LaVine and Aaron Gordon went toe-to-toe in one of the most memorable Dunk Contests in living memory, the competition has struggled since then.
Oklahoma City Thunder rookie Hamidou Diallo called out Shaquille O’Neal to stand inside the paint and then he unveiled a hidden superman vest under his jersey, Diallo then dunked over the seven-foot NBA legend before elbow-dunking on his first attempt!
Diallo then hung on the bucket with one arm which was first created by Vince Carter.

Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum won this year’s Taco Bell Skills Challenge with a half court shot which took fans by surprise and set a record by becoming the first player to win the competition with a half court shot.
Tatum defeated Mike Conley and Nikola Jokic en route to the title.

# 1 – Steph Curry to Giannis All-Star game bounce-pass alleyoop dunk
The highlight of Sunday’s NBA all-star game featured team captain Giannis Antetokonumpo delivering a crazy dunk off a high-bounding bounce pass from Steph Curry in transition, leading to an outpouring of mania on social media.
Without a doubt Steph Curry’s alleyoop bounce-pass to captain Giannis will definitely go down as one of the best assist in All Star History.
