Okomfuor Kwaadee is a celebrated hiplife artiste who churned out a lot of hit singles we enjoy till date.
Kwaadee is a story teller who held Ghanaians spell bound with his talent.
Okomfuor Kwaadee shaped the hiplife culture with Sarkodie stating via a tweet that he Grew up on some real good music from Obrafour and Okomfour Kwadee and that shaped him to be different in this era.
He gave us songs like Aboro ne Bayie, Ataa Adwoa with the albums Kwaadee and Asetti under his belt but he soon faded off with little or nothing being heard from him.
It later emerged he was rehabilitating from drug use and he bounced back with a couple of singles which have failed to make a mark so far.
In a recent interview with the ShowBiz, Kwaadee stated he is bigger than Sarkodie, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy because he believes he is popular than them.
However, for Kwaadee to say he is bigger than Shatta Wale, Sarkodie and Stonebwoy might just be the joke of the year.
Yes! Kwaadee paid his dues and needs to celebrated for that but unfortunately, he cannot compare himself Shatta Wale Sarkodie and Stonebwoy in terms of popularity.
The 3 S’s have the biggest fan bases in Ghana, and that isn’t up for debate.
Stonebwoys’s Ashaiman to the World pulled a crowd of more than 40,000 people, Shatta Wale filled the 20,000 capacity 02 arena and Sarkodie’s Rapperholic is almost always over sold, so I still can’t fanthom why Kwaadee feels he is more popular.
In an interview with the Showbiz Kwaadee added the 3 artistes have never been on stages he has been like being a nominee for Channel O Awards (2003) and KORA Music Awards (2005), forgetting he also hasn’t been on stages the others have been on like Sarkodie and Stonebwoy winning the BETs and Stonebwoy again being part of the Grammys.
It’s great to have Kwaadee back but I feel, his management wants him to ride on the popularity of the 3 biggest acts in Ghana at the moment, which automatically suggests Okofuor Kwadee isn’t bigger than Sarkodie, Shatta Wale or Stonebwoy!
