We’re just over two weeks away from the worldwide release of Marvel’s Black Panther but right now all the excitement is around the Soundtrack – especially in South Africa.
Kendrick Lamar, who is co-producing the film’s official soundtrack, unveiled the track listing on Tuesday evening to much fanfare. The album features 4 African artistes and surprisingly they are all South Africans.
The SA artists are Babes Wodumo, Sjava, Yungen Blakrok and Saudi.
Yungen Blakrok is on ‘Opps’ with Vince Staples while Saudi is featured on ‘X’ which has Schoolboy Q and 2 chainz. Babes Wodumo collaborates with Zacari on ‘Redemption’ and finally Sjava, Mozzy and Reason make ‘Seasons’.
According to Kendrick Lamar, the album will be released on the 9th of February; 7 days ahead of the film’s worldwide release.
