The DVLA will be issuing oral tests for drivers wanting to obtain a drivers license but can not read or write in English. This test will be given in Twi, Ewe, GA and Hausa languages.
This is to help those who are road worthy obtain a drivers license and enable them to drive legally.
This is all well and good and will benefit the drivers who can not read and write however does it tackle the issue on our roads regarding aggressive drivers. Trotos and taxi drivers being the most aggressive. What happens to the drivers who did not take a written test? Do they get a chance to take the oral test? Hopefully this new oral testing will prove to not only be beneficial to the drivers taking the test but to the all those commuting on the road.
