Drake surpasses JAY-Z as the rapper with the most Top 10 hits

Drake’s new single “God’s Plan” notched another big achievement today by debuting at No.1 on the Hot 100 chart. It’s his second No.1 single as a solo artist, following 2016’s “One Dance” featuring Kyla and Wizkid, and fourth overall including his features on Rihanna’s “What’s My Name?” and “Work.”

His second single “Diplomatic Immunity” also landed at No. 7 on the billboard chart. According to Billboard, this makes him just the second artist in history to debut two songs in the Top 10 at the same time, with the other being Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” and “Castle on the Hill” in 2017.

With two more Top 10 entries, Drake also surpasses JAY-Z to become the rapper with the most Top 10 hits in his career. Drake now has 22 career Top 10 hits (including features), surpassing Jay’s 21. Drake’s eight-year reign on the Hot 100 chart came to an end last year.
