Ghanaian rap legend Okyeame Kwame has tipped GADone signed act Kofi Jamar as the one to save Oseikrom.
Oseikrom is another name given to Ghana’s second biggest city Kumasi, and in the early 2000s dominated the rap genre of Ghanaian music.
Artists like Lord Kenya, Okyeame Kwame and Okomfour Kwadee are some rappers who hailed from Kumasi.
In recent times, the rap game has been dominated by rappers based in Accra and Tema; namely Sarkodie (Tema), M.anifest (Accra), E.L (Accra), Kwesi Arthur (Tema), Joey B (Accra) and more.
Although Kumasi has some big shot rappers like Flowking Stone, Cabum, and more, the Accra & Tema based rappers are the front-runners.
In a post on social media, Okyeame Kwame “Oseikrom is back just like old times” after stating ‘Kofi Jamar is here to rule.’
Kofi Jamar – Kyerɛ Me ft. S3fa (Official Music Video) https://youtu.be/zdYdgUmZWQ8 via @YouTube @KofiJamar is here to rule. Oseikrom is back just like old times.
Kofi Jamar felt honored by the tweet, and thanked Okyeame Kwame, leading to more praise from the legend.
Kofi Jamar has been on the high after releasing his debut EP ‘The Truth’.
He has so far released two visuals from the EP for songs Kyerɛ Me featuring S3fa and Adiɛbi.
