A second win for Morgan Heritage, a great win for Stonebwoy of Ghana

What is the chance of Morgan Heritages Avrakedabra Album winning best Reggae Album at the Grammys?

.Morgan Heritage, who are previous winners of the Grammys; winning Best Reggae Album in the 2015 Grammy’s with their album strictly roots, are aiming to win that same award with their album Avrakedabra at the 2017 Grammy Awards.

Avrakedabra is a 15 track reggae album which features artistes like fellow Grammy winners Ziggy and Stephen Marley and Ghana’s Stonebwoy, which peaked at number 3 on the reggae billboards.

The album had great reviews from reggaeville, worldreggae.com and huffingtonpost.

The major competitions the ‘Avrakedabra’ (which is the groups 11th Album) has in the nomination list are Chronixx ‘Chronology’ and Damian Marley’s ‘Stony Hill’.

In a poll conducted by the Grammys on their website for which album would win the best reggae album, Chronnixx’s ‘Chronology’ won with 30% followed closely bu Morgan Heritage’s Avrakedabra with 29% while Damien Marley’s ‘Stony hill came a distant 3rd with 20%.

It looks like the chances of Morgan Heritage winning their 2nd Grammy’s in 2 nomination is high and a win for them would reflect greatly on Ghana’s Stonebwoy and Nigeria’s Timaya who are featured on the album.

Morgan Heritage is a reggae band formed in 1994 by five children of reggae artist Denroy Morgan, namely Peter “Peetah” Morgan, Una Morgan, Roy “Gramps” Morgan, Nakhamyah “Lukes” Morgan, and Memmalatel “Mr. Mojo” Morgan. In two decades, they have had a number of successful reggae albums
