Afro Nation Ghana has announced its first wave of artistes for the two-day showdown in Accra, Ghana, this December. The festival, regarded as the biggest stage for Afrobeats and other sounds dominating Africa’s scene, has selected its first wave of artistes to play the part.
The artistes announced include Davido, P-Square and Stonebwoy, who were major runners in the festival’s Portugal edition in July.
Tapping into Africa’s music scene new generation, Afronation Ghana has included Gyakie, Black Sherif in its first phase of talent announcements.
Here are all the artistes announced in the first artiste lineup of Afro Nation Ghana.
Ghana played host to Afro Nation in 2019 as part of the country’s Year of Return campaign. The festival returns to Ghana after a brief pause sponsored by the COVID-19 pandemic. It’ll take place at Marine Drive, Black Star Square, where Ghana’s Independence was declared by the First President and BBC Africa’s Man of the Century, Kwame Nkrumah.
