The first single from Mr Eazi’s forthcoming debut album, “Legalize” is one of the singer’s most personal tracks to date, and a celebration of his love for fiancée Temi Otedola.
Following the June 10th release of the track and its official music video, the singer recorded an intimate, acoustic performance of the song featuring Brun, who co-produced “Legalize” with E Kelly and Nonso Amadi, on guitar.
The drop precedes the June 30th release of Legalize: The Complete Experience, a new project compiling various audio and video versions of the song, including the acoustic version.
In addition to the official music video and the acoustic performance clip, Mr Eazi has also released “Legalize: The Art Experience,” a short film documenting his collaboration with Patricorel, the painter behind the single’s cover art.
For Mr Eazi, each track off his upcoming album is being treated as a true multimedia project. Each single’s cover art will be derived from uniquely commissioned physical art pieces by different African contemporary artists.
These pieces will be tokenized and shared with the public through specially curated metaverse and physical events, a plan Eazi detailed in his recent interview with ARTnews.
