Nigerian Singer and Rapper Burna Boy made history on the night of the 63rd Grammy Awards by becoming the first Nigerian musician to win the award since its inauguration in 1992.
The ‘Odogwu’ singer received his Grammy plaque this morning and shared the news via his Instagram page.
Twice As Tall which was Burna Boy’s fifth studio album earned him his second Grammy nomination after ‘African Giant’ in 2020 which lost to Angelique Kidjo’s ‘Ceilia’ album.
Burna Boy’s fifth studio album, Twice as Tall, was released on 14 August 2020, executive produced by Diddy and Mama Burna Bose Ogulu. The album became his highest-charting project, debuting at number 1 on the Billboard World Albums Chart.
