South African group Lemon & Herb made up of Skhumbuzo Radebe and Don Sithole have explained how their name came about.

The explanation happened at the second day of the South African Music Week (SAMW), as they discussed the topic ‘Africa is not a jungle’ with DJ Black Coffee & Da Capo. The discussion was anchored by Kyle Cassim.

Black Coffee asked the duo to name who was Lemon in the group and they explained the group name didn’t reflect neither of them and they did not want a name that will box their sound.

On how the name came about, they stated it just came ‘popped’ up

The duo have been friends since childhood, and it has helped to have a synergy that pushes their sound.
Lemon & Herb is a music production hub comprising of Skhumbuzo Radebe and Don Sithole. Afrobeats, Techy Sounds, Futuristic melodies, and lush soundscapes are what the group is about. Fusing South African rhythms with world club appealing nuances is a trademark in their sound.
