A founding member of the UK based Ghanaian team behind ‘Black Eats LDN’ has shared the inspiration behind the creation of the platform.
It enables delivery for people living in London who are excited about African and Caribbean dishes.
The platform seeks to address challenges that African and Caribbean restaurants face with existing platforms such as Uber Eats, Deliveroo, and Just Eat etc.
“This concept started during the first lockdown in the UK which was back in March 2020,” disclosed founding member, chef Kweku in an interview with Ameyaw Debrah of AmeyawTV.
“A regular Ghanaian guest at my Hotel’s restaurant who happens to be an IT reached out to me earlier this year about the idea of bringing all African and Caribbean foods under one umbrella where people by just one or two clicks get food from their favorite restaurants.”
