CharterHouse, organizers of Ghana Music Awards have put out a call for entries for the 22nd edition of Ghana Music Awards.
Artistes, artiste managements, record labels, producers, instrumentalists, music composers, music industry stakeholders and the general public are encouraged to submit their works for consideration.
The entries to be considered are musical works published in the year 2020 – from January 1st to December 31st, 2020.
The biggest music awards scheme in the country honours artistes, producers and other stakeholders in the Ghanaian music industry for their work during the year under review.
‘Artist of the Year’ is the topmost award at the Ghana Music Awards – given to the artist(s) adjudged by the Academy, Board and the general public.
Previous winners of the ‘Artiste of the Year’ award include Kuami Eugene, Okyeame Kwame, Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Kwaw Kese, Stonebwoy, Kojo Antwi and the late Ebony Reigns.
Organizers say manual submissions won’t be accepted. Stakeholders are therefore, advised to make their submissions online via www.entry.ghanamusicawards.com
The deadline for submission is February 15, 2021.
In a related development, open call does not include entries for the Unsung Category – the category for upstarts in the Ghanaian music industry.
Entry requirements and mechanics for the Unsung Category will be published after February 15th, 2021.
