Organizers of the Ghana Music Awards have announced a list of newly elected board members for the 2021 and 2022 editions of the awards show.
The board is led by Kwasi Aboagye, the manager of legendary Ghanaian highlife artist, Amakye Dede. His role kicked off on January 12, 2020.
Aboagye is expected to chair the board for the second and third editions in 2021 and 2022 respectively.
“He declared his unflinching support for the awards scheme and also expressed his commitment to projecting the awards ceremony to a new light,” reads part of a statement by the organizers.
.”Aboagye also promised to collaborate with other experts on the board and see to it that the goals and objectives of the board are met judiciously.”

Vida Bonsu, Radio presenter, a producer at Highlife Media, and Board Secretary.
The first edition of the awards scheme was held in October 2020. It seeks to award influential artists projecting Ghanaian music, art and culture to the diaspora.
It is organized by Don’s Music Production in partnership with 2Geez Entertainment and Highlife Media USA.
