#MuseBOTY20: Adina is Most Played Female Artiste on Ghanaian radio

Adina is the most played female artiste on Ghanaian radio in the year 2020.

She earned a total of two thousand, three hundred and eighty two (2382) spins according to data from Ghud Music on Muse Bangers of the Year 2020 – a multi-platform music initiative instituted to highlight the songs that dominated the Ghanaian radio landscape for the year 2020.

The initiative also looked to reiterate the power and relevance of radio platforms in shaping the taste of consumers and amplifying the works of music talents.

Adina’s ‘Take Care of You’ featuring Stonebwoy was played One thousand, Nine Hundred and eighty eight (1988) times on over 80 stations across the country reaching over 15 million listeners.

‘Why,’ off her 2020 album ‘Araba’ was also played three hundred and ninety four (394) times.

Her closest Challenger was MzVee, who had a strong come back after a hiatus. She also recently dropped her InVEEcible album.

She had three songs in the top 100 namely ‘Who are you’ at number 28 with 675 spins, ‘Sherrif’ at number 43 with 548 spins, and ‘Baddest Boss’ at number 57 with 422 spins.

Her combined spin total is One thousand, Six hundred and forty five (1645).

Other female artists who made the top 100 are Wendy Shay (770 spins), Gyakie (710 spins), Efya (668 spins), Sista Afia (425 spins), Becca (417), Cina Soul (337), Philipa Baafi (263) and Tiisha (231.)

A two-hour immersive show hosted by Antoine Mensah aired on partner radio stations, Asaase Radio 99.5 in Accra, Pure 95.7 FM in Kumasi, and on Empire 102.7 FM in Takoradi over five consecutive days between Saturday, December 26 to Wednesday, December 30, 2020.

The show featured tastemakers and stakeholders in the Ghanaian music space, sharing their hot takes on the songs and artists who made the charts.

Muse Bangers of the Year 2020 focused on songs released between January 1st and November 30th, 2020. The data size covered over 8, 000 songs that have been tagged and tracked by the artificial intelligence platform built by technology partner for the initiative, GHUD Music, and covering several genres.
