Akobam is a body ointment that gained popularity due to a song composed to advertise the product.
In the 1990s and early 2000s, the Akobam song was one of the most popular alongside ‘Abrewa b3bo ball’ (a medicinal tonic).
Joey B inspired by the Akobam advert, has brought it a new lease of life with a drill remake that features Kofi Mole and Medikal.
It didn’t take long for the single to blow up on social media, with many impressed with the make-over.
The accompanying video to the song, directed by highly rated Babs Direction makes the song wavier.
Shot in an underground car pack, the video is a mixture of well-endowed women, the gang, and one of Joey B’s hobbies – Skating.
We also see cameo appearances from KiDi, Kweku Smoke and Bosom P-Yung.
