Captain Planet’s encounter is one such stereotype-influenced police stops involving people with dreads.

He revealed how one Policeman asked him why he didn’t smoke ‘weed’ since he had a dread hairstyle during a police check.

He wrote;

E no easy to carry dreadlocks for accra oo. Police patrol see me them say my friend get down. One guy dey ask me say i get weapon i say No, he say u get substance i say what kind of substance u dey talk? Chairman say weed, i say i no dey smoke he say rastaman like u Man

He also revealed there will soon be an end sars in Ghana if the police didn’t stop the stereotyping and harassment they do to Nigerians in Ghana.

One Police man dey ask me say i be nigerian i say No then one guy say e no be u be that musician wey i say yes . He say e be sing that song wo gyi obi girl Rolling on the floor. This be how them dey harras the naija boys for accra. Very soon we go end SARS for accra.
