Songs like Kwabanga’s Akatafour and Yaw Tog’s Sore are part of songs that have raised the profile of the Asakaa genre across the world.

Asakaa is a localized term used for Ghanaian drill music specifically coming from Kumasi.

In the interview, Kwaku DMC stated though the movement was gradually gaining wave, he needed the mainstream media and bloggers to get involved in order to take it to the next level.

He also revealed with the work he and his team Life Living Records are doing, they are aiming to break-through the local music scene and hit the international scene.
