Ghana has been blessed with amazing dancehall acts from the likes of Samini, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, and more but one person ‘Jupitar – D’ General’ has always claimed to be the only proper dancehall artist in Ghana.

Known as the General, Jupitar blew unto the music scene after his single Money Box, became a nationwide hit.
He is one of the most technically gifted singers we have in Ghana and certainly deserves the bragging right as one of Ghana’s finest dancehall gems.
Though talented, Jupitar hasn’t been consistent, although it has added to his ‘flex’, it’s probably one reason he hasn’t been at his full potential.
His biggest song so far is Enemies featuring Sarkodie released in 2015 and he hasn’t topped it since.
In fact, some fans wonder if he is really into the music as his releases are mostly sporadically and he doesn’t seem to have a specific direction he’s heading towards.
He recently resurfaced; after enjoying some airplay with his 2018 single Eternity featuring Kuami Eugene, calling out Stonebwoy for a clash.
This happened after the announcement of Asaase Radio’s Soundclash between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy.
It’s understandable that Stonebwoy ignored considering he will be enjoying a huge payday with his Clash with Shatta Wale.
It was therefore refreshing to see Dancehall singjay Epixode jump up to the challenge and call out Jupitar.
Yes, Stonebwoy and Jupitar have history and there are valid reasons why the call for a clash might be valid but Epixode and Jupitar also have a deeper rooted history so it’s surprising he seems to be running away from Epixode.
First, He ‘dissed’ Epixode for calling him out and blocked him on Social Media.
Although, Jupitar seems to be keeping his eye on the prize (Stonebwoy), as a General it’s his duty to defend his turf against anyone who challenges him rather than run.
I can see he is excited about the Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy clash but not with his own as he retreats.
As a General, always be prepared against everyone and although he has paid his dues to the genre in Ghana, he can’t keep claiming he’s the only dancehall artist in Ghana when he keeps running away from Challenges.
Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy are done with their clash but I think for Jupitar to earn to step on the same stage as Stonebwoy, He needs to clash with Epixode.
