The Ghanaian Multiple award-winning Reggae-Dancehall act, Stoneboy, has in a precise and concise post on his official social media account refuted publications of him endorsing an agenda of the New Democratic Congress (NDC) Political Party in Ghana.
There has been a viral video in the Ghanaian media space of the Ghanaian artist sitting on a motor and recorded why it was necessary for him to use that means of transportation. Since the political party is also pushing for the legalization of the commercial use of motors(okada) in Ghana, the found it convenient to use Stonebwoy’s three years old video to endorse that agenda.
Stonebwoy in a tweet quickly reacted that:
“My attention has been drawn to a 3 Year old video of me riding on an OKADA. Which is being Publicized As An Endorsement For A Political Party.. I disassociate Myself From this.. Please I Beg this is NOT in ANY WAY an ENDORSEMENT For ANY POLITICAL PARTY #GodBlessGhana”.
Some Ghanaians are applauding him for coming out quickly to debunk those publications, others think he should hold people in the political party accountable.
