“The fact that Nana Acheampong is my dad doesn’t put any pressure on me”. – Gyakie

Talented Ghanaian singer, Gyakie, has opened up about her relationship with the legendary Ghanaian high life artist, Nana Acheampong and some perks that come with being his daughter.

In an interview with Muse Africa, the curator of the Seed Ep, Gyakie, has attested to the fact that even though her father is a musical expert he welcomes her style of music and does not feel any pressure. She emphasized that:

“The fact that Nana Acheampong is my dad doesn’t put any pressure on me”.

She added that she does her own style and her father accepts and respects that. Gyakie says she is also not pressured to outdo her dad’s legacy, she is in her lane!

However, she admits there are some advantages that come with people knowing whom her dad is, the special treatment, and some special treatment from some industry players.
