Ghanaian Rapper, Singer and Songwriter Fameye last night was crowned Best New Artist at the ongoing 21st Ghana Music Awards which many felt was well deserved.
However, the highlight of Fameye’s award was the speech he delivered after receiving his award. The ‘Mati’ singer thanked his fans some notable names in the industry but one name that we never expected to be mentioned was Ogidi Brown, former manager and label head for OGB Music his former label.
Fameye thanked Ogidi Brown for helping him reach this far and it’s not surprising since the singer had his major breakout hit under OGB Music with the song ‘Notin I Get’.
Things went a bit south for both parties after it was reported in June 2019 that the singer had allegedly slapped his then manager in Holland after they were both captured on camera in a heated argument.
Fameye however quickly denied the claims but failed to clear the reason behind the argument and later announced he had parted ways with OGB Music. After his departure Ogidi Brown has since threatened to sue the ‘Notin I Get’ singer for breach of contract which was reported in January 2020.
Things has been quiet clam between the two after that and it seems Fameye’s speech at the VGMA’s last night seems to be a clear indication that Ogidi Brown is at peace with Fameye and vice versa. Many has also congratulated Fameye for honoring Ogidi Brown.
