10 years after being consistently nominated, Celestine Donkor finally wins her first VGMA Award

Ghanaian Gospel Singer and Songwriter Celestine Donkor who has just been awarded with Gospel Song of the year has shared some pretty interesting fact about her run in the Ghana Music Awards.

According to the Singer, she has been consistently nominated for 10 years in the award scheme which dates back to May 2010 where her song ‘Supernatural’ was nominated and her album with same title was also nominated.

Speaking on This Is Gospel on HitzFM with Franky 5 she said ” I have been consistently nominated in the Gospel Category for 10 years and I finally won, I had actually given up on winning the award eventually but finally we won and I am very happy.”

Celestine Donkor finally got her hands on the prestigious award last night when she won with Gospel Song of the year with her chart topping single “Agebolo“.
