Women in the Ghanaian music industry have had to deal with some strict behavioral expectations in their quest to make a name in the music industry.
Sharing her story, Freda Rhymz narrates how some of these cultural expectations like dressing and attitude towards work has been constantly projected on her in her time in the Ghanaian rap game.
She also revealed how she manages these blocks with her work saying that ” I usually don’t listen if it’s not beneficiary to me.” Adding that “I do what makes me happy, and best for me.”
She also believes that “no matter what you do, people will talk” which is why she goes about her business unperturbed about such “public opinions”.
