Nigerian artist Rema after months of teasing Alien has finally released the single.
Signed to Don Jazzy’s Mavin and Jonzin, Rema has grown from the boy doing freestyles in a car to a Nigerian superstar with the global potential.
Inspired by Afro-beats and Trap (a sub-hip-hop genre), Rema has always found a way of blending the two, in order not to lose himself.
Alien comes a week after Rema released Afro-beats jam Ginger Me.
Everyone knew Alien was coming, especially the artwork challenge which saw 100s of designers submitting in their work.
Though Rema didn’t chose the one I like as his cove art, it’s found a place on my phone as my wall paper.
Reffered to as the Future by many, Rema might soon move from that sphere to the present, as he has consistently proven he is a hit maker.
Alien was produced by Level.
On ‘Alien’ Rema raps about being in love with his Bestie and ready to spend the money on her…
Ironically Alien was released a day after fans accused Rema of taking his Girlfriend on a date, when he stated he was choosing a fan.
That claim has been denied by Rema, who still insists the lady he took out was just a fan who won the competition fairly.
Rema is part of the nominees of the 2020 BET Awards as part of the Viewer’s Choice International artist Category.
Listen to Alien by Rema.
