Grammy-winning Africa icon, Angelique Kidjo, over two-decades has been an inspiration to most people around the world, specifically Africa.
Here love for the music, culture, Africa and her singing prowess have been something that most musicians in Africa emulate. One of such people has been Yemi Alade.
Expressing her admiration for the legendary musician, Yemi ALade said “Sincerely, its a dream come true. Actually seeing her, have relationship with her, be with her, get to play music with her, have continues constant conversations with her. shes such a blessing and shes such a breath of fresh air. i’m inspired by her, and i look up to her.”
She further revealed that her song Shekere with Angelique Kidjo took 3 years to finally materialize
” Working with her, i wont say was a walk in the park, this song took us three years to put together for many reasons. because of our busy schedules, because of the standards we had in mind for the song called Shekere, and eventually, like they say “good things take time” she added.
