Veteran producer Hammer has revealed how Rapper and songwriter Edem got his first moniker “Ayigbe Edem”.
According to Hammer, “Ayigbe” which means ‘Ewe’ was added to the rapper’s name to make Voltarians proud of him.
“The Ayigbe was added to Edem’s name because I wanted the Ewes to be proud of him and it worked.” – Hammer said on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z.
Edem who was signed under Hammer’s The Last Two Entertainment group where he released his debut studio album “Volta Regime” in 2009 which was executive produced by Hammer.
The album will earn Edem’s first Ghana Music Awards nomination for Album of the Year and HipLife/HipHop Song of the year for hit single “You Dey Craze” at the Ghana Music Awards in 2010.
