Ghanaian superstar Shatta Wale has pulled out from the Ghana Music Awards after brawl on stage.
The singer was banned from the scheme from 2015 to 2017 and was re-nominated in 2018 but was actively involved in the awards scheme in 2019.
However a brawl between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy teams on the event stage brought the show to a halt for close to 45 minutes, leading to the arrest of both artistes who are currently in court standing trial for their roles in the fracas.
Shatta Wale made the announcement on social media, few minutes to CharterHouse’s press conference to address the issues.
In the statement, Shatta revealed after sober reflection and consultation with various people, he will no longer participate in the Awards scheme.
