Ghanaian singer Shatta Wale has stated he will concentrate his attention on local awards after Ghana failed to get a nomination in the BET Awards.
Last year Ghana was represented by Kwesi Arthur in the Viewers Choice Best International Artiste won by South Africa’s Sjava.
Shatta Wale mocked what he calls ‘International’ artistes for failing to get a nomination in this year’s BET Awards, which saw artistes from Nigeria and South Africa being nominated.
It looks like Shatta Wale is throwing a jab at Stonebwoy and Sarkodie, previous winners of the Award.
Shatta Wale in a twitter post opined ‘too known’ will kill Ghana artistes.
It is however surprising that Shatta Wale is mocking his fellow artistes after posting on December 21st, 2018 that he had received a mail from BET.
After that tweet many of his fans thought Shatta Wale may finally earn his first BET nomination.
Shatta Wale recently won 2 awards at the IRAWMA and 11 awards at the 3Music Awards.
